Pumpkin Pie Cake

This is Jessica's recipe. She brought it to us when we had Roy Austin last October and it was SO good. It's a perfect Fall time dessert....very smooth, yet gooey! It's a little like the cherry cobbler yellow cake mix recipe that is so popular!

Pumpkin Pie Cake

2 15 oz. cans of pumpkin
1 C sugar
1 1/2 C evaporated milk
3 eggs
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. cinnamin
1 tsp. ginger
1 yellow cake mix
1 stick butter - melted

Mix everything together except for the cake mix and butter. Pour the mixture into a 9x13 pan. Sprinkle the cake mix on top (this is only the powder in the box). Drizzle the butter on top. Bake at 375 for 45 minutes. Let sit 15 minutes. Serve with whip cream.

Sorry, I had to steal a piece to try it out. Plus I wanted you to be able to see the pumpkin layer:)

Donna,
Thank you for putting this recipe up! A lady at my work has been checking out this blog(on my recommendation) and she made this cake and brought it into work today. It was a huge hit!! Everyone wanted the recipe! Not too long ago someone else make your chocolate chip pumpkin muffins and brought them in. They were wonderful! Everyone in our dept. is really enjoying this blog!!
