Pecan Pie Bars

These little bars are so yummy! I made these for a party tonight and I just snatched one and was very pleased:) It is a Paula Deen recipe and it's a perfect Fall time treat. They kind of taste like Magic Cookie Bars (Reber girls), but with a hint of pecan pie.

1 1/2 C all-purpose flour

1/2 C firmly packed brown sugar

1/2 C butter, softened

3 large eggs

3/4 C sugar

3/4 C dark corn syrrup

2 T melted butter

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1 3/4 C semi-sweet chocolate chips (I used less)

1 1/2 C chopped pecans

*Preheat oven to 350.

*In a small bowl, combine flour and brown sugar. Using a pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture is coarse. Press into 13x9 dish and bake for 15 minutes.

*In medium bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, syrrup, melted butter and vanilla. Stir in chocolate and pecans. Pour over crust and bake for 25 minutes. Cool and cut into bars. Store in refrigerator.
